Our Shooting Star suite is large, spacious and fun-filled and has direct access to its own dedicated outdoor play area, designed to encourage children to explore and extend their growing physical capabilities.

Giant Leap has developed a stage-related approach to the two-year-old group to develop the natural instincts of children at this age and encourage them to try and do things for themselves. For example our Shooting Stars team place great emphasis on promoting activities such as dressing skills, toilet training and shared meal times where children are encouraged to feed themselves.

This suite is equipped to meet all the children's needs, containing a variety of educational toys and activities. Children are encouraged to explore the environment and participate with planned activities both indoors and out.

We make daily use of our outdoor spaces at every opportunity. Our curriculum has been developed to meet early years guidelines focusing on:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Communication, language and literacy
  • Problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Physical development
  • Creative development

Our learning through play approach ensures children find learning fun and interesting, enabling them to learn, develop and build confidence and self-esteem. At the end of each day you will take home your child's daily diary detailing relevant information about their day including mealtimes, times of sleep, nappy changing/toilet training, and information about what your child has enjoyed that day.
